3D printed correction braces and seating in Italy
Soon, we will be able to serve Italy with 3D-printed orthopedic products through our partnership with Officina Ortopedica Maria Adelaide srl. They will serve as a reseller of Embrace Solutions for correction braces and seating. We are confident we have found the perfect partner to cater to the Italian markets.
Founded in the 1950s as an orthopedic workshop connected to a local hospital in Torino, Officina Ortopedica Maria Adelaide srl has been specializing in customized applications since its beginning. Their commitment to innovation and development has pushed them to the forefront of technology and set the industry standard as the go-to experts for the digital transformation of this traditionally driven field.
Now, they are ready to be at the forefront of digitally crafted seating by introducing the first Embrace Seat solution in Italy and introducing the enhanced seating option and the technology behind it to professionals in the area. But being in the forefront is not new to our new partner.
Started the digital transformation in 1995
Digital transformation is a challenge we must overcome, but it will not be an issue in this case. To 3D-print a corset or seating, we require a CAD model. In the build preparation phase, we can add zones with different hardness or stiffness.
Officina Ortopedica Maria Adelaide srl has recognized the value of CAD CAM systems since its introduction in Italy in 1995. They have taken this expertise to the next level by reselling the Rodin4D CAD CAM system for almost two decades, earning a reputation in Italy as the local experts.
CEO of Create it REAL, Jacob Nissen, expressed his excitement: “We are thrilled to welcome Officina Ortopedica Maria Adelaide srl as a reseller for both corsets and seating. As a technology provider, we always recognize that our expertise towards patients comes from our local partners. In this case, we welcome more than 70 years of experience with custom orthopedic products, which is truly priceless.”
Completely new surrounding
Alessio Ariagno looks forward to introducing the new technology to his fellow Italian orthopedic technicians, stating, “People are interested in seeing the 3D printer when it arrives, and I expect it to draw a lot of attention at Exposanita from the 17th to the 19th of April. We will be open for print services, establish orthopedic workshops with their solutions, and act as advisors and resellers.”
When the first printer arrives in Torino, it will be in an entirely new environment as Officina Ortopedica Maria Adelaide srl is relocating in late winter. They will welcome spring in new locations and add a new service to their impressive portfolio.
