3D printed orthopedics for patients in the Middle East
Returning from Arab Health 2025, our team was thrilled with the event, noting that it exceeded last year’s experience. The trends we observed included a strong general interest in our additive manufacturing solutions, with particular attention given to correction braces for treatment. We had numerous valuable visits from potential customers across the Middle Eastern region, all showing a strong interest in our solutions. The region demonstrates strong possession of new technologies and digital workflows, driven by a commitment to advancing patient treatment and comfort.
Once again, we were accompanied by our Middle Eastern reseller from Ortholife Group, Eleftherios Samiotis, who operates a full-service print hub for patient treatment and physiotherapy in his clinics in Athens, Greece, and Cyprus.
Before the event began, we had the opportunity to visit Tinta Lab.
Custom-fit seating aids – locally produced
We share a mission with Tinta Lab to transform foam production using Programmable Foam® technology. Those who work with traditional foam crafting know the challenges—handling the material, managing waste, and dealing with persistent dust in the workspace.
On top of that, transitioning to a digital workflow with Programmable Foam® enables the creation of superior end products, while clean production ensures a more efficient and sustainable process.
Tinta Lab, founded in 2023 and based in Dubai, UAE, operates a workshop where two Embrace Seat solutions provide 3D-printed seating aids for the local area. Their service extends beyond 3D printing, covering the entire process from initial measurement to final fitting.
Guided by the vision of their founder, Ahmed Atef, Tinta Lab has swiftly embraced digitalization, offering fully digital solutions to provide patients with custom seats ready for immediate use. We are truly impressed with their rapid progress and the professionalism of their business.
Key visits to our booth
At the exhibition, we once again joined the Danish Pavilion, organized by the Danish Trade Association, where we had a dedicated space to showcase our solutions. This year, we also introduced our smallest printer for the Insole solution, which helped demonstrate our technology more effectively.
With Denise Antaki’s support, we were pleased to welcome visitors from Pure Health and EHS. Establishing relationships with local health authorities is essential, and we had insightful discussions about regulatory requirements, certification processes, and potential collaborations to facilitate the adoption of our solutions in the region.
On the sales front, we are excited to share that the InsoleMaker will remain in Dubai.
Installation at Xtremity
Following the exhibition, the InsoleMaker was installed at Xtremity’s facilities in Dubai. With remote assistance from our technical team in Denmark, the Embrace Insole solution was successfully set up and is now fully operational, ready to produce custom insoles tailored to individual patient needs.
But that’s not all—Xtremity will soon receive an Embrace Corset solution, further expanding their in-house capabilities for localized production. With prior experience in 3D printing services and digital workflows, Xtremity is well-prepared to seamlessly integrate these technologies into their operations. This marks an important step toward increasing accessibility to custom orthopedic solutions in the region, reducing lead times, and enhancing patient care.
Expanding our presence in the Middle East
Last year at Arab Health, we were newcomers, but this year, we felt warmly welcomed and could build on previous conversations. Just after the event, we are pleased to announce that all Embrace solutions are now available in the region for custom-fit applications.
Compared to last year, we noticed a greater openness toward the new technology we are introducing, reflecting a positive shift in the market’s readiness for digital workflows and 3D-printed orthopedic solutions. Given the strong interest, we anticipate even more advancements in the near future.
If you want to learn more about our solutions, please contact us or connect with our reseller at Ortholife Group. We are excited about the growing adoption of digital workflows and the potential to bring custom-fit orthopedic solutions to more patients in the region. Whether you are looking for innovative seating, insoles, or corset solutions, we are here to support your needs and drive better patient outcomes through cutting-edge technology.
