REHACARE 2023
Four days of intensive exhibition in Düsseldorf, the international trade fair for rehabilitation and care, left us with a strong signal for inclusion and digitalization in the healthcare market.
At the exhibition, we presented the Embrace SeatMaker solution, our CAM solution to 3D print customized seats with Programmable Foam®.
We have met with partners and potential customers who make a difference in people’s lives by applying 3D printing to produce customized products in a sustainable and decentralized manner.
It was a great feeling to see the continuous interest in our booth and in our inbox after the event.
Interest from all over the world
REHACARE is the world’s largest trade fair for rehabilitation, prevention, inclusion, and care offering an information and communication platform for people with disabilities, with care needs, in old age, and with chronic diseases.
Around 600 exhibitors from more than 35 countries, presented a combination of product demonstrations and complex system solutions.
Our 3D-printed seats attracted visitors from all over the world, including; Germany and Central Europe, and guests from the Middle East, Australia, Asia, Latin America, and North America stopped by. They highlighted that they consider one of the biggest benefits of our solution to be decentralized production.
Create it REAL among the most innovative companies
Lene Jensen, a Business Developer, was interviewed about the Embrace SeatMaker solution at the booth. We were humbled to be featured as an innovative company among the REHACARE exhibitors this year.
She was talking about the biggest benefits of our solution:
- Different hardness zones with soft gradients to prevent pressure sores
- Good ventilation, no moist absorption
- Washable and hygienic
- Save time and labor
- Decentralize production

Partnership with Leg&airy
At the exhibition, we also debuted our latest partnership Leg&airy. Leg&airy is a Swiss company dedicated to revolutionizing the world of orthopedic devices, with a particular focus on digital fitting and design in the orthotics segment.
We are collaborating to enhance wheelchair seatings. Together, we harness cutting-edge technology to manufacture 3D-printed orthopedic seats and cushions, offering improved comfort and reliability for users. This partnership brings together technological innovation and orthopedic design expertise to redefine the seating experience for wheelchair users worldwide.
Great feedback from end-users
One of the benefits of these events is that besides meeting our customers, we get the chance to meet the users of our products.
The best thing is to get great feedback directly from them. Just like Herbert Dehn, a wheelchair user, who was looking for an alternative seating, as he had problems with his current seat:
“You sweat in hot summer, the seat is too warm, and then you cannot wash it.” He is changing seats every year because they wear out or get too dirty. These are exactly the problems that our 3D-printed seats offer a solution.
Herbert got a 3D-printed seat at our booth and now he can enjoy the benefits of enhanced breathability and ventilation, moreover, the cushion can be washed at 60 °C degrees.
The visitors could also see an InsoleMaker machine on our booth that is dedicated to 3D printing customized insoles. The solution offers a less labor-intensive and much cleaner production alternative to traditional manufacturing methods. Our guests from this industry were particularly impressed by this innovation.
